Jim & Al,
I should have caught this yesterday given the visual similarity but the
nomenclature is BA-38, not BA-3B. Some system glitch kept the photos from
displaying.
The BA-38 was also used in the SCR-625 Mine Detector, SCR-585 Glider radio
and in the Navy AMA (similar to SCR-585)..
Chemistry was standard LeClanche (Carbon-Zinc) all the way up through 1993,
when I placed what turned out to be the final contract for them from
BrenTronics.
There are a number of BC-611 collectors around. If the batteries still
look new, some of them could want one display only battery for their
collection.
