[Milsurplus] BA-3B Battery

I have some Eveready BA-3B 0962 batteries. They are in long olive 
drab rectangular boxs, 1 1/2 x 1 1/4 x 11 1/2 inches.

They are not usable as the "guts" has expanded, pushing out an 
end.  The individual cells are pancakes, about 1/8" 
think.  Interestingly, there are no corrosion materials, like you see 
in old flashlight batteries.

I don't know what to do with them.  Is there any call for them, or 
should I just dump them in hazardous waste?

Suggestions?
