[Milsurplus] TA-12 XMTR in Pairs?

I have a question concerning the use of the 4 channel Bendix TA-12 
transmitters.  Amongst my plunder is a Bendix control box with 8 channels on 
it.  The frequencies listed for channels 1 through 4 correspond to the 
available frequencies of the TA-12 channels 1 through 4.  Then, channels 5 
through 8 correspond to frequencies within the TA-12 frequency ranges of 
channels 1 through 4 also.  It looks like this control box was designed to 
provide 8 channels using a pair of TA-12 transmitters.

But wait, there's more.  I  have a junction box with a cable/plug that mates 
with the control box.  This junction box also has two cables with connectors 
for the TA-12 transmitter and other (receiver, power supplies, etc) 
equipment.

Can anyone confirm that the TA-12 transmitters were  configured in pairs to 
provide 8 channels?
