[Milsurplus] BC-611 Alignment ?

A BC-611 manual shows the alignment performed using a case with several
access holes drilled in it.

I believe this factory-made jig is quite rare. So how are people aligning
their own BC-611 ?  I was 

thinking either a stand-in made of one piece of folded sheet metal, to cover
four sides, omitting 

top and bottom. Maybe even a cardboard equivalent, shielded with alu or
copper foil? Or a 

cabinet simulator made out of PC board material? 
How are people accomplishing the alignment?
