I use Sta-Bil regularly in my 5500 watt 4 cycle generator here...and in my
smaller 2500 watt single-cylinder 4 cycle generator too.

I also use a product named "SeaFoam" in the gas tanks of both generators.

I have had zero problems with ethanol-based fuels since using either or both
products.

There CAN BE a problem with Sta-Bil though: if you have a partially empty
bottle of the stuff, which you have kept for a year or more without being
used, it CAN clump up and plug up carbs and things. I speak from
experience.

I had that problem once. After that, if I haven't used the entire bottle by the
end of the next year, I toss it and buy a new one. Since then, I have had zero
problem with it.

I recommend it.

I keep 10 gallons of gasoline in my 5500 watter, then either run it out once a
year, or use it in the car, and refresh the gasoline in the genny.

YMMV
