Might... Dave might have to do some re-biasing though...

We should consider the 6F6. It's a power-pentode whose base diagram is 
identical with the 12A6 (7AC), but it needs 700 mA of filament current.

So, Dave would have to do some resistor work.

I could not find an octal equivalent of the 12A6 in a power-pentode type so 
far.

Still looking.

An 802 is purposely-designed to be an oscillator tube, but it would require a 
base-adapter AND resistor balancing..

BTW, I looked up the 837 and I find it listed as a beam-power tube. I didn't 
think it was. Oh, well...

Guess I'll dig out my tube-manuals.
