Picked up a PP-1104 Battery Charger/ Power Supply at Frost fest for $20 on Saturday. That comes out to about 13 cents per pound at what the TM 11-6130-246-35 says is 152 pounds! Anyone have experience with them? Going to figure that if nothing else I can use it to power all the stuff on the M151 without having to run the engine? Will now have to install the slave connector and find the huge slave cable. The power supply is rated at 50 amps @ 28 volts or you can configure it for 100 amps @ 12 volts. Also wondering why they did not put handles or any other way to lift this heavy monster or was that intentional to keep you from trying to lift it?
Not much military there other than an R-390 with the attached MARS sticker on the front, couple AN/PRC-74 transceivers, couple of those old National Navy receivers and an antenna mounting assembly from a Humvee, did not see any ARC-5 or command set junk. I thought it was a good show with high attendance and all the tables sold out in advance. I sold almost everything that was on my table. With the death of Timonium Frost Fest may be the only noteworthy event around here until the Military show at Aberdeen and then Dayton. There will be a Ham fest in Manassas in June and one in Baltimore in July with an small event up at the National Electronics Museum at the end of this month but that's mostly computers and technology and not radio stuff.
