[Milsurplus] BC-221 as Outboard CW SSB Detector

I did this as a lark some years ago, and it worked OK. I also had put a long wire on my BC-221, and found it made a neat, although totally non-selective DC receiver, able to copy signals on both 80 and 40 at the same time. That simply made further use of the BC's utility to both monitor a transmitter frequency, as well as provide a marker.

My BC-348 BFO is pretty weak, and I'm planning on trying the 221 on that. Will be interesting to see how it fares.
