One way to back-couple to the antenna is through tube inter-electrode 
capacitance, so a grounded grid stage would be better, but I thing stray 
coupling in the wiring would be more efficient.  I still think a 
properly operated regen won't radiate much if any.  it's weakly 
oscillating and lightly coupled to the antenna, so the modern 
superhetrodyne with a vigorous LO might be a better candidate.  Note 
that as frequency goes up this becomes a more serious problem, which 
points at tube capacitance and stray coupling.
