I think you gave someone a pretty good deal. I would guess the hamfest (asking ) price is around $100-150; more on Ebay.

But – i don’t know if people are buying big heavy things so much anymore.  And i kind of wonder if anyone would buy

them, if they knew about the alignment thing.

I had an R-808 I picked up at a 

local Flea. I was not impressed.

It was as microphonic as a drum ! 

Never got to the alignment issue.

I sold it to a local USMC Vet for 

$20 so he could remember the 

"good old days" !!
