[Milsurplus] What is this? Ebay number 252481088914

I have a BC-474 that someone repurposed as an 'emergency transceiver'. They
added neatly a crystal socket to the front panel and maybe one other switch

and then did a good paint job to tan color. This thing actually looks good.
The Epay item is a crappy job which no craftsperson could take pride in.
Maybe

a lot of surplus was going to the scrap metal bin, but BC-474s never were -
they sold out pretty quick too, due to limited supply and apparent demand.

- go back in time.... it was someone's prided creation.

- remember... there was a time when much surplus got scrapped just
for it's metal content.

- by today's standards this could be considered a sin to create....

- but...back then it was just recycling... and remember... the best
recycling is resuse or repurpose.
