[Milsurplus] Offended by "Ham-mered?"

I've had people go postal on me when I mentioned I had hacked up a few ARC-5 units. Did this when I was young, they were from the poor condition bargain pile (couldn't afford the nice ones), and I didn't have any schematics so had to undo everything to trace it out. There were tons (literally) of them around yet people are still bothered by what happened many decades ago. Odd, but it doesn't come close to getting user my skin.
