[Milsurplus] Cleaning canvas bags and their metal pieces ?

I saved the head lamp polising/sanding pads from my head lamp restorer kit:
I also suggest that the sanding pads used on plastic head lamps, seem to 
do a great job at removing tarnish.
I would use distilled water to keep the pad lubricated if needed.
