[Milsurplus] Speaking of "odd" receivers...

I have a Westrex solid-state rack-mount job here which is a real weirdo: it
has a horizontally-mounted turret which contains separate input circuitry for
all the channels, something like 20 of them, one chooses from the front
panel. The channel modules look like narrow slices from a pie, wedge
shaped.
I managed to get a manual for it from someone who had rescued the manual
from a dump somewhere in the eastern U.S.
Apparently, these receivers were, supposedly, used primarily by the FBI, and
when they were dumped, the FBI destroyed all the channel-turrets so no one
would figure out what frequencies they were tuning to. Therefore, most of
these which showed up were pretty much useless.
My receiver, fortunately, was never used by the FBI and still has most of its
turrets.
There is no RF amp stage either: the antenna is connected directly to a very
fancy mixer stage. Sensitivity is rated at less than 1 microvolt 2 - 32 MHz.
That is another one in the queue to be restored.
