[Milsurplus] Frequency Measuring Test, What's an LR?

Our local club in NJ donated one of these some years back when we were 
working at the USS Ling in Hackensack. It ended up in a storage shed. Was 
for sure a GR product. Can't imagine why a sub would need one, much less 
how'd they get it aboard, it may have been too big to fit through the 
watertight hatches. Then where would they put it???
