[Milsurplus] OT: The UK OFCOM Has Struck

This is really off topic but I thought there was enough impact to pass this on.  I recently had an eBay add for a small pair of FRS/GMRS Walkie Talkies cancelled.  The reason for removal was:
" we removed your listing as they were reported to us by OFCOM - Office of Communication UK. Please note that use of these types of items in UK contravenes Sections 8 & 68 of the Wireless Telegraphy Act 2006. Please don't relist this item.For further information please check www.ofcom.org.uk or read our help pages "
Thinking this was a prank or joke or phishing scam, I called the eBay front office and was told the cancellation was correct.  Pulling up a few dozen examples of the same item being still listed, I asked why me and not all the ads running.  eBay's response was "it may take some time for OFCOM to report them all" !!
Fancy that, and I thought this was a free country.
