I think these also could be obtained with a 400 Hz supply instead of the
dynamotor.
As for selling one, well....you may have to pay someone to take it.
I only recently finally disassembled the last of a number of these ( thanks,
Brad ! )
that I'd stored for too long. Disassembling them was probably an obsessive,
pointless
exercise, but I couldn't just toss those modulation transformers and tubes,
which
loads another task to me now, I mean finding people who need modulation
transformers
at about the 40 watt level.
One thing I did notice scrapping commercial com equipment versus mil
equipment.
Often you see military equipment that looks really beat outside, but as the
ads often
say, when you open it, insides look pristine. Maybe without cooling ports,
the (older)
mil equipment was designed to deal with heat, or broke down more, or just
didn't
have the number of tubes packed into it. The aircraft radios I scrapped,
maybe
about a score of them, all had some kind of cooling port for dynamotor
blower.
And they were all filthy inside, feelthy! I am so glad to see the last of
them gone,
what a dirty job.
I did net some tubes, including more 6AK5s than I'll ever use, numerous
interesting
transformers, and a few interesting crystals.
