"B", just be thankful no one wanted to fork over a $100 and some change for
one of your BC-348s
INCLUDING dynamotor, at that hamfest! I thought the nicer one was reasonably
priced at $120
even if the dynamotor was held back. ( I myself only like the "older" model,
and even then,
probably only the no-LF-band models. Picky, yes.
I am thinking hamfests are actually pretty much "sacrifice sale venues". I
certainly price stuff
down there myself; I NEVER want to lug anything home. But I would not offer
a DM-28 at a
hamfest!
Reminds me of some small, small Sig Corps manual on Epay a few years back. I
think maybe
SCR-203, the BC-227 & BC-228 mulepack set. The manual sold, finally, for
around $1500, I think.
I was in the running into 4 digits, but then I thought, what the hell, it's
not the last one, I'm
pretty sure. Some time later I found the same manual in my own collection. I
was glad I dropped
out of the auction fever that time. I should as a project scan it and offer
it free online.
