I have a work-in-progress that presents detailed information on all 31 USAAC radio sets and all 28 USN radio sets that use receivers (BC-A*-183, RU-* types) based on the A.R.C. Model D. Here is an excerpt that Nick's and Mike's USN type number documented has allowed me to refine.

I am interested in getting more info about receivers RU, RU-1, and RU-3A (schematics especially).
I hope to finish my work related to these USN sets (and the USAAC relatives) in a couple of months. It will be a pdf approximately 75 pages long that will be free upon request to anyone with an interest in these old systems.
