I addressed the connectors in my last post. WRT the L-5E, it had a 14 vdc
electrical system, so the common BC-1206 range receivers like the Setchel-
Carlson model 524 were unusable. It should have instead the Setchel-
Carlson model 512. That has the JAN nomenclature of R-76/ARR-13. It uses
14vdc for filaments and high voltage from the same AVA-126 vibrator unit
that supplied the AVR-20-A1 HF receiver and the AVT-112 HF transmitter.
That's not a bad little set of radios for the L-5 in its era.
