If you want to have some fun, write to General Joseph F. Dunford, Jr. at the U.S. Department of Defense. Up until October, he was Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps, but now he is Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He's a military guy through-and-through and would probably give you a better answer about the silliness of the person who displayed paranoia over some old military manuals, probably a better answer than some numbskull Congressman.
