I think you mean KOH 780 in  RENO, NV!  I Live in Cason City just south of 
Reno and regulary listen to KOMO,1000, From Seattle
and KNX , 1070, from L.A.

That is how I got into Electronics back in 1952, my Dad bought a SX-38B 
(still have it!) and I found somone playing music and when they said
they were in Austraillia, 8 MCs short wave band, .................I was 
hooked ! ! !  I just had to know how they did that !
