I'm USAF Retired, and starting in 1946 I drove three different vehicles:
a Jeep, a Weapons Carrier, a 6X6 truck, and a Prime Mover. My real
MOS was Radio Maintenance.
Jeeps didn't flip over. We used to play with them in bomb craters in
Berlin. Weapons Carriers would skid on rain or ice. Big trucks were
safe. The only vehicle that I saw flip over was a Brit version of a
weapons carrier. It started skidding in rain, then went over.
The fault with Jeeps was that the housing for a front wheel universal
joint broke off. And, clutch plates were easily replaced.
End Of Trivia.
