If that doesn't work and you have a hard short, consider contacting
Gary/WZ1M for a rewind. Price depends on size, number of windings etc. I've
had a couple of large pieces, a modulation transformer and BC choke rewound
by Gary and am very happy with the results.
His email is xfrmrs at roadrunner.com He uses current materials of course, so
you're not likely to ever have another problem with it once it's done.
