[Milsurplus] Data plate restoration dilemma

Paul,

My approach to such problems, especially entirely missing tags, has been
to scan the lable, get the Image into a good drafting program (I use
Corel Draw, but some freeware like InkSchape, should work), and
reconstruct an image of a new tag, tracing over the original. Print the
image on clear mylar lable stock, and stick it on a piece of aluminum
flashing. From a couple of feet away, this looks great.
