The BC-669 is part of SCR-543 which includes the PE-108 gasoline engine
generator.  The manual TM11-625 shows it installed in the back seat
of a 3/4 ton command car, and the remote control unit next to the right
front seat.  So I guess one way to operate it was to tune it up from
the back seat, and then operate it from the front seat.  Another picture
shows it out on a floor with a counterpoise and the remote control
unit hung on the side of the chest holding the transceiver.  And another
picture shows it in a 1/2 ton pickup truck.  Originally it was voice only,
but the RM-21D remote control adds a key jack for CW operation.
