Suppose you have a major collector who spends 10's and 10's and (keep going) of millions of US $$ of his own money and taking what most have determined to be scrap and he spends his own money to preserve history, as common or as rare as it is, to preserve it to the infinite detail of authenticity.
Who has the right to question what he decides to do with not only his personal fortune (not govt or corporate money) but his collection of whatever it is, trains, planes, boats or Chinese ancient vases.
My point is while everyone is entitled to their opinion, who is to say what a person does with their own money is wrong.
You may not like it personally but as an adult one would think you would respect the fact any collector would spend several millions of dollars to preserve history On EACH aircraft that fought to give YOU the very right to voice your opinion. Then there's all the currently flyable airplanes AND the entire team of professionals that constantly maintain them.
Others that have just commented are correct in that there are always a few who just don't get it and I don't care to give them any reply moving forward.
I didn't join this group to spend my time debating topics, of any type. I simply don't have time, life is to short.
I'd go fly anytime rather than get in a car. It's safer. Period.
And to the comment about "...thyrill in his pants..." Really??
