That's over-generalizing. It's not terribly difficult to filter a switcher to
excellent noise levels. Even common COTS switchers have noise levels that allow
for just about any except for the most noise sensitive analog circuitry.
Consider that most Agilent and Tektronix analog test equipment uses switchers.
