I don't know if I am buying the idea of flying teletype in 49 or 50. Majority of all encryption hardware before 1960 was huge heavy mechanical stuff well suited to battleships but not aircraft. Pre computer or solid state hardware like SIGABA worked equally well for messages sent by CW as by teletype and lacked the capacity for paper tape transfer so what advantage would there be?

Ray -- Yes in my search on the net came up with stills and a youtube walking tour of the plane.
I suspect it was stripped out. .... actually if it was used as a VIP transport I can guarantee it was stripped out. ( now if only we can find the closet it was stashed in <grin>)
