I don't know if I am buying the idea of flying teletype in 49 or 50. Majority of all encryption hardware before 1960 was huge heavy mechanical stuff well suited to battleships but not aircraft. Pre computer or solid state hardware like  SIGABA worked equally well for messages sent by CW as by teletype and lacked the capacity for paper tape transfer so what advantage would there be?

Ray --     Yes  in my  search  on the net  came  up  with stills and a  youtube walking  tour  of the plane.
I suspect it  was stripped out. .... actually  if it  was used as a VIP transport  I  can guarantee it  was  stripped out.   ( now if only we can  find  the closet it was stashed in <grin>)
