Members of the Band get "general" medals that everyone gets when they
are in service during an important "wartime" event.   It's usually
the "National Defense" medal.   The reserves get this also.

The "Good Conduct" medal is one available if one "keeps his nose clean."  :-)

As I was not a rated Musician, I am not immediately aware of any 
specific musical
awards, but "Meritorious Service" could be applied in any category.

Mike, W3MC, a career Navy Musician, would be a good man to
ask this question.   Check QRZ.com.  (Unfortunately, his trombone is covering
the medals above his left jacket pocket.) :-)
