[Milsurplus] Blood n Guts

When, if ever were seat belts incorporated into the M151A1 or A2? My 1965 M151A1 has no seat belts and it gets real squarely above forty miles per hour or so, defiantly not designed for highway driving but real fun off road.  Did they not install seat belts in the jeeps so you can get out of them in a hurry?

Mid seventies I joined the police reserve and hung around with a lot of fire and EMS personnel.  As more and more stories of crashes where the injuries were minor due to seat belts were talked about everyone pretty rapidly began to use them religiously.

There were also changes made to control heads of radio gear, but not until later.  Some of that stuff could do some damage to you in a wreck.
