Reminds me of  Don C. Wallace: W6AM who I knew as a kid  in  Palos  Verdes 
California ...  
he  would also  drive,  talk and use a knee key at the   same  time   also.
Thinking about that  now  with the   warnings of  not  texting while 
driving  or talking on the phone
it leaves you in wonder...   I never heard of  him being in  an   accident 
though...  must have had  great
multi-concentration!
