Extensive information on the FL-8  can be  found on my web pages 
including much of Mr.
Clayton F. Bane's, (W6WB) research. These pages include schematics, 
graphs, audio clips and information on changing the characteristics of 
the famous filter.  I apologize in advance for the lack of a PDF file 
but I utilized scanned pages of Mr. Bane's article instead.  The FL-8 
can still be found
by "Hanzing" through those junk boxes at the ham fest and spending a buck.
