[Milsurplus] AN/GRn-11 Transmitter

Does anyone have any information on an An/GRN-11 Radio Transmitter, seriel 
number 21, built by Stromberg Carlson. It appears to be battery operated, 
and operates in the neighborhood of the upper AM broadcast band, near 1600 
KC.  In a green metal box, with hinged lid, approx 12 by 10  by 10.  I'm 
thinking some sort of beacon setup.
