[Milsurplus] 1 kV Ceramic Caps- Your Choice?

I remember Vishay even from my high school days as a company that made
precision components. At the time it was precision resistors and then I
started running into precision caps.
The large 500 pf HV TV caps are pretty lousy in RF work in my experience. I
have tried to use them often in tuners, and they always got way too hot,
evidently very lossy. From then on I only used the Centerlab ones with no
problems at all. 73 - Mike

I agree with Al K.
TV designers got a lot of experience
with HV supplies for picture tubes
before flat screens became out.
