I agree Mike. Recently there was a sale, set, psu, cables, control box and atu, all from the same guy, all from the same set, all listed separately.
I did suggest to the guy he pull the tubes and list those one by one. No need to guess his remarks.
Simply MONEY, no thought for originality or such, just a greed for money.
cheers, Ben.

Subject: [Milsurplus] Selling equipment: an OPINION
Hello all:
I have an opinion (rant) that I would like to express here. When listing
equipment for sale on auction sites it is my opinion that the equipment, power
supplies,& connecting cables should be listed as one unit. I believe it is a
dis-service to break up these items as they become more scarce.
Case in point; I was recently bidding on a mil surplus RCVR to go with a
transmitter I have owned for 50 years. I was also bidding on the power supply
the seller had listed separately. You can see where this is going...I won the
receiver, & the other bidder won the power supply.
I think the seller could have gleaned more money had the unit & PS been listed
together.
Yes, I know this is a free country, etc... flames not necessary.
