[Milsurplus] Selling equipment: an OPINION

Well, that's not so in the real world. In many fields, if you break up
something into it's parts, the parts will bring far, far more than the
complete unit.
Just look at cars. A junker may bring $1000; a door lock alone will bring
in over $200, a window glass $100 or more.... and there is 99% of the car
left.
I've seen HP gear where the units can be bought for a few hundred, yet the
cables go for far more.
It's not nice, but it is true the sum of the parts brings in far more than
a complete system.
