It was clear that you weren't offended, Robert - I was merely questiong the
concept that we shouldn't use this word or that because some group has
corrupted its meaning turning it offensive. The same mentality that would
control what we say would control what we read, own, think, etc. Sounds
silly, but some folks think that way. Hence the politically-correct
nonsense. Army radios are bad because they encourage or celebrate war, etc
etc. Ridiculous as it sounds, I've heard it before.

Words are great for filtering: they give you a good idea of a person's
character early on. You can offer help to the ignorant and move away from
the truly stupid.
