I can remember using the word 'schmegma' in the early 70's in high school to denote anything or anybody that was awful or raunchy.

Several people asked me where this word originated. I must give credit to my
good friend and fellow Schmegmeister Mike Raisbeck, K1TWF. It was coined in
late 1995 when we were involved in the "Great Schmeg Caper" which involved
cleaning out the house of a SK that was packed from cellar to attic with the
stuff.
Some of you may recall us selling this stuff (as well as giving a lot of it
away) at Hosstraders when they were at Rochester NH circa 1996 - 2000.
