[Milsurplus] Richmond VA hamfest report

Being a little short on money, believe it or not have to start saving up for Dayton I decided not to go to the Ham fest today. Now have big regrets. Did they still have the gun show next door? Last year was able to attend both but found that no one there would sell me anything being that I was from Maryland. Was not a complete waste though being I did get my new inverted V up for Moose and Squirrel net at 1200 local and the old URC-94 did a way better job then the vertical antenna I used last weekend. Amazing what a difference going to that antenna makes over the stupid thirty foot vertical with base loading dose. Small consolation looking at the pictures though, well there is always Timonium, Aberdeen and then Dayton. Wonder if I can pull off some sort of field set up for the Saturday net at Aberdeen, open for suggestions one how to build a working antenna that can function in a parking lot.
