It's a standard part of the expanded AN/ARC-5 system, Hue, probably 
standard with other multi-receiver installations as well.  Go to pages 
249/250 and 251/252 of the AN/ARC-5 manual and you'll see it called out 
as Item 57, 36uuF, 1,000v mica capacitor leading to the receiver antenna 
post of the ATC (ART-13) transmitter.  I would suspect that it may have 
more to do with suppressing local oscillator signal interference from 
the MF ARC-5 receiver than anything.
