When I taught electronics In the late 60's, I had co-Ed classes in the Navy. I taught the cleaned up version to my first mixed class but some of the girls (waves) heard the original so I told them what I learned just after the war thus:
Bad   Black
Boys. Brown
Rape  Red
Our     Orange
Young Yellow
Girls     Green
But        Blue
Violet     Violet
Gives     Green
Willingly White

Get.        Gold        5%
Some      Silver     10%
Now        No color  20%

The girls cheered and I used the original version for the years I was there.  This was before the outrage of political for correctness.
