Hello all:  Can anyone shed some light on this item? 

Nomenclature tag info:

Amplifier Panel PN-8-C
S/N 684 
order # AF 33 (038)-30470
Hazeltine Electronics Corp.

Just looking at it, it appears to be a VHF amplifier using two 3C24 tubes in the final. I cannot find anything on the internet about this unit and / or associated equipment or possible use. I would like to know more before I gut it and build an antenna tuner on the chassis.
