Hello Raymond,
It's a dual-gate RF MOSFET. A dual-gate device amounts to being two
single-gate FET's in "cascode." The first gate is used for the signal
input, and the second gate is used to apply AGC voltage. It's roughly
the equivalent of a remote-cutoff pentode, so was very popular for RF
and IF amps in receivers in bygone days. Gain control remained a
challenge until proper IC's came along.
