[Milsurplus] Black Hole closing

It's sad, but the guy was very, very proud of his stuff. I'm not saying
that is wrong, but it makes buying anything very hard.

IMO, you are either in the surplus business, or you have a hobby
collecting surplus.

If you are in the surplus business, you do what Eli Heffron did:

When you buy an item, you put it up front in the showcase.
If it doesn't sell, move it to a store shelf, and lower the price.
If it doesn't sell, move it to the back room, and lower the price.
If it doesn't sell, move it to "the pile" and sell by the pound.
If it doesn't sell, give it to the break up guy, and sell for scrap.

The surplus BUSINESS is like farming, you don't fall in love with the
livestock.

Also, just because it came from Los Alamos, does not mean it is a valuable
historic artifact.

I'd guess, because of location, most will go to scrap metal.

YMMV,

-John
