[Milsurplus] "Solid State Chokes"

Dave,

An interesting concept.  Thanks for bringing it up.  It's a gyrator, a 
capacitor and amplifier that impersonate an inductor.  See article in 
wikipedia.

There's also this in German:

I have no firsthand experience with this, but I'm adding it to my bag of 
tricks.
