Still looking for another set, but.....

With nothing to lose*, I cracked open the open circuited reproducer,
figuring if it was broken I may as well destroy it completely.  Behold a
broken wire in sight, thinner than a centi-hair.  Even with magnifying
glasses, could barely see the wire.  Removed insulation by burning with
soldering iron and spliced in another really heavy #32 wire to run to the
terminal.

Don't know how long this fix will last, so still looking for replacement
reproducers or a functional set of phones.

*I did lose a small chunk of flesh from a finger before settling on a less
dangerous method of prying the reproducer apart.
