Therein lies the tale.  Gibson dress nuts have a much coarser
knurl than your average toggle switch nut.  Stew-Mac markets
pretty much exclusively to luthiers, so that's probably not
a huge issue for them.  I use a couple open end wrenches ground
thin enough to to tighten the hex nut on the back of the panel
when I can.  Otherwise it's pliers and a rag. :-/
