Right on black PVC absorbing rf.  Just put the plastic you desire to use in a microwave and see it it heats up a bit.  If it does, don't use it.  We always used white PVC  for the cross arm on our dual crossed yagis 11 element beams for satellite work and worked FB.

 P.S. If you wind loading coils on PVC, use white.
 Black PVC has something in it-
 probably carbon black- that introduces losses.
 And at high power, it heats up, too.
 Don't know about the gray stuff.
 Unless you want low-Q (for greater bandwidth),
 can make-up the losses and you're not going 
 to melt the stuff, stick with white.
