Has anyone a found a description of the Marconi
Magnetic Detector ala Titanic that can be 
understood by someone with an intellect 
slightly better than that of a toadstool?
I've found a couple online, but the authors
seemed somewhat confused themselves.
If you have a better one or know of a better
online description I've missed, 
I'd be grateful to see it.
